I started growing out my hair a couple years ago after wearing short hair for over 20+ years. I struggled to find a studio that I really liked, and then I found The Loft Men Studio. I absolutely love this place, the atmosphere is very calm and soothing, almost like a retreat where you can momentarily “shut off.” They offer professional friendly service. I highly recommend it.

I had a very disappointing experience after being a loyal customer for over two years. First, I want to say that the service itself is great and the owner is very knowledgeable when it comes to cutting men’s hair. I was always happy with the quality of the haircuts. However, things changed toward the end of last year. I used to text the owner directly to check if she had any availability, and she would let me know when she could fit me in. Around October, I noticed she hired two ladies to manage bookings and help with the front desk, which I understand is part of growing the business. When you finish your appointment, they now ask you to schedule your next haircut before leaving, which is also understandable. The issue happened with an appointment I had scheduled right before Christmas. I received a reminder text a few days before the appointment. That day ended up being very busy for me due to the holidays, so I replied to the text saying that I wouldn’t be able to make it and asked if I could reschedule. The message apparently said “no reply” at the bottom, but I didn’t notice it at the time. After Christmas and New Year’s passed, I called to schedule a new appointment. They gave me one and everything went great as usual during the haircut. However, when it was time to pay, the receptionist told me the total was $120 (they were charging me for two services). I thought it was a mistake, but she explained that I was being charged for the haircut that I missed before Christmas. I understand charging a cancellation fee for missed appointments, but charging 100% of the service for a haircut I never received felt unreasonable to me. I asked if the owner could come talk to me or if we could work something out, but she apparently refused and I was told that there was no other option and that I had to pay. After more than two years as a loyal customer, it was very disappointing to see things handled this way. Unfortunately, that experience was enough for me to decide not to return.

For many years I never found a solid place for a hair cut and beard trim, however I started coming here about a year and a half ago and I will not go anywhere else! Miriam does a the best job! -Very Relaxing -Always on time -Very Clean -Professional I highly recommend The Loft!
